Paragon® II System Controller (P2-SC) allows multiple Paragon II systems to be controlled from Raritan's CommandCenter® Secure Gateway centralized management appliance. CommandCenter enables a consolidated view and BIOS-level control of all servers and other IT devices from anywhere, using just a Web Browser.

1U Form Factor Only 1U in height, Paragon II System Controller is extremely rack-efficient.
New Raritan Design Language with LED Indicators P2-SC is based on Raritan's new Design Language featuring a sophisticated, new look featuring ergonomic design and new blue LED indicators for clear easy-to-see power, network and user activity.
Connectivity Features  
Local KVM User Port Users can use the local KVM user port for admin purposes.
Ethernet Port 10/100Mbps auto detect Ethernet interface for network connectivity.
Multiple LAN Support Each P2-SC can support up to 8 Paragon Base UMTs in a given LAN. (For multiple LANs, one P2-SC is required for each LAN or subnet.

Web accessible Users can manage P2-SC via CommandCenter with a standard web browser; this eliminates the need to install proprietary client software.
Paragon II System Controller Admin Allows the access and control of Paragon II System and target servers.

Remote Authentication/Authorization Centralized authentication and authorization of remote users through CommandCenter.
Management Features  
Remote Management Remote CommandCenter Administrators can perform all management and configuration changes at the convenience of their desktop.
Firmware Upgrade P2-SC firmware upgrades can be downloaded right from the Raritan website and upgrades can be performed via CommandCenter.
Syslog Information P2-SC allows syslog information to be viewed locally or via CommandCenter.
Tiering Management P2-SC supports access to multiple Paragons in a tiering configuration up to three tier levels. The base UMT is considered a tier 1 device.
Manage Paragon System P2-SC allows the ability to manage up to 8 base Paragon UMTs per subnet.
Auto Discover P2-SC can auto discover and manage remote User Stations via IP Reach (M1/M2/TR36x).
CommandCenter Integration P2-SC operates in conjunction with CommandCenter to access multiple Paragon Systems.

What is Paragon II System Controller (P2-SC)?
P2-SC is an intelligent device that allows multiple Paragon II Systems to be controlled and accessed by CommandCenter.


What does a Paragon II System represent?
A Paragon II system includes the following components: Paragon II UMTs (Base and Stacking Units), Paragon II USTs, IP-Reach (models M1, M2, and TR Series), target devices such as servers.


What are the functions of the System Controller?
The P2-SC functions as an aggregator of multiple Paragon Systems. In conjunction with CommandCenter, it enables single sign-on, centralized authentication, authorization and access to Paragon targets.


How many Paragon II Systems can the system controller manage?
P2-SC can support up to 8 Paragon II base units per subnet or LAN. In other words, you can have multiple subnets with up to 8 Paragon II base units per subnet.


As part of the Paragon II System, must you have Paragon II as the base unit?
Yes. The Paragon II UMT1664M and/or the UMT832M must be the base unit. You can then add Paragon II UMT1664S and/or UMT832S as stacked units. The Paragon II UMT1664M and UMT832M have network ports and communicate with the P2-SC.


Can I connect other Paragon IIs or Paragon from the base unit?
Yes. P2-SC supports up to 3 tiered levels, with tier 1 being the base unit.


How many targets can I connect per subnet if I only utilize Paragon II UMT 1664M/S?
The UMT1664M/S supports 128 targets. With the P2-SC supporting up to 8 base units per subnet, one can potentially connect up to 1024 targets.
